Aurasphere Aurum Royale in a Sazerac

Ingredients

  • 50ml Cognac or Rye Whiskey
  • 10ml Simple Syrup
  • 4 Dashes Peychaud's Bitters
  • Absinthe (to rinse glass)

Method

  1. Rinse a double rocks glass with absinthe, discarding the excess.
  2. Stir rye/cognac, syrup, and bitters with ice until chilled, then strain into the rinsed glass over a tempered Horizon Gem Cylinder (Aurum Royale).
  3. Garnish by expressing a lemon peel over the top and discarding.
The Aurasphere serve

The Sazerac is traditionally served neat in a chilled glass, but warms up in minutes. Serving it over a single, slow-melting Horizon Gem Cylinder keeps it sub-zero. The gold flakes in the Aurum Royale collection accentuate the amber hue of the rye and cognac.
