Whiskey · Double Rocks
Sazerac
Absinthe mist wrapping around a gold-dusted amber gem.

Ingredients
- 50ml Cognac or Rye Whiskey
- 10ml Simple Syrup
- 4 Dashes Peychaud's Bitters
- Absinthe (to rinse glass)
Method
- Rinse a double rocks glass with absinthe, discarding the excess.
- Stir rye/cognac, syrup, and bitters with ice until chilled, then strain into the rinsed glass over a tempered The Facet (Aurum Royale).
- Garnish by expressing a lemon peel over the top and discarding.
The Aurasphere serve
Traditionally served neat and cold, the Sazerac rewards precision but loses temperature quickly. A single Facet keeps the drink colder for longer while preserving the ritual feel of the serve. In Aurum Royale, the halo picks up the amber tones of rye or cognac without crowding the glass.
