Whiskey · Double Rocks
Sazerac
Absinthe mist wrapping around a gold-dusted amber gem.

Ingredients
- 50ml Cognac or Rye Whiskey
- 10ml Simple Syrup
- 4 Dashes Peychaud's Bitters
- Absinthe (to rinse glass)
Method
- Rinse a double rocks glass with absinthe, discarding the excess.
- Stir rye/cognac, syrup, and bitters with ice until chilled, then strain into the rinsed glass over a tempered Horizon Gem Cylinder (Aurum Royale).
- Garnish by expressing a lemon peel over the top and discarding.
The Aurasphere serve
The Sazerac is traditionally served neat in a chilled glass, but warms up in minutes. Serving it over a single, slow-melting Horizon Gem Cylinder keeps it sub-zero. The gold flakes in the Aurum Royale collection accentuate the amber hue of the rye and cognac.
