Gin & Tonic

Aurasphere Nimbus in a Gin & Tonic

Ingredients

  • 50ml Gin
  • 120ml Tonic Water
  • Garnish: Citrus wheel or fresh botanicals

Method

  1. Place a single tempered Aurasphere 60mm Signature Sphere into a chilled Copa or highball glass.
  2. Pour the gin over the sphere.
  3. Slowly pour the tonic water down the inside of the glass or along a bar spoon to preserve carbonation.
  4. Stir once gently to integrate.
  5. Garnish with a thin grapefruit slice or lime wheel tucked along the sphere's side.
The Aurasphere serve

The spherical shape possesses the lowest surface area of any geometry, preventing the carbonation in the tonic from releasing prematurely. Bubbles glide smoothly over the edge-free sphere instead of popping on rough ice edges, preserving the effervescence and keeping the serve cold.
